Koffi brings change to Nigerian Music Scene with new Album:
The ace comedian also regarded as Nigeria’s most versatile entertainer with awards in comedy,music and movies has yet again gone the extra mile to redefine quality entertainment with a new effort.
Known to be very articulate about quality projections rather than quantity koffi has over the years churned out classic materials that has withstood the test of time. The best comedian(music) at the 2006 Nigerian comedy awards and also best comedian of the year Dynamix 2007, has scored countless hits over the years including Aroma, Green is my home, betterlife, workerman, candyman,Splufik etc.
To celebrate 10 years of music artistry alongside the humour merchants versatility in drama, wherein his latest movie The Nanny won best Comedy movie of the year 2013, Tha guru as he’s fondly called is set to release his new music work, a fussion of cultured music, suitable for all ears and groovy enough for family and club consumption, devoid of lewd lyrics and vanity. He boasts in a recent interview “This is my 10th music album, and is my best work thus far. Infact there’s no Nigerian Artiste that can presently match up to this, not DonJazzy, Psquare,Wizkid,Davido all put together.I am doing music DonJazzy and the likes should be doing. This is the revolution in Nigerian music”.
The album ‘AyindeOkin_Metamorpho’, describes the inbred personnae of the veteran and offers a metamorphosis of his new groove and sound. A fussion of the new generation drive with wholesome lyrics, depth of ideology and pleasant melodies
Koffi pushes the envelope on this one by goin beyond borders with a 12 tracker that comes with extreme collaborations with members of koffi’s Splufik Team (Boomerang, Josh2Funny), Ruffcoin from the east and a never before collabo with Ikpa Udo who raps in Efik
Songs on the album include the piercing GetBackHome(A call to Nigerians in the diaspora and response to Xenophobia), PenAtiPaper (A wake up call to government on need to promote Agriculture over oil), club favourites ‘Asko’ featuring SplufikTeam, ‘Bamijo’, ‘Jabele’, ‘Jam4Me featuring Ex.O, ‘PartyPeople’ featuring Ikpa Udo, Love tunes like ‘DoMeSo’, ‘Fronting’, ‘MeSheWant’ featuring Ruffcoin Nwaba, others include ‘EgetAsEbe’,’BottomsUP’ etc. Album producers include Ex.O, Yeankeyz,Lowkeyz,Lord.A and Koffi.
